Giving Back

Our Community

R.M. Johnson & Sons Jewelers believes in giving back to our community whenever possible. While there are many charitable causes we have supported over the years in one form or another, those nearest and dearest to our family are the R.M. “Bob” Johnson Memorial Scholarship at Salem High School and our Salem Museum. We are also very involved with the Rotary Club of Salem, the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and have been named “The Official Jeweler” of the Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline.

Since 1999, Jewelers for Children has donated more than $51 million to help children who are the victim of catastrophic illness or life-threatening abuse and neglect.

Jewelers for Children was founded in 1999 by the U.S. jewelry industry with the mission of helping children in need. Since its inception, JFC has donated more than $ 51 million to programs benefiting children whose lives have been affected by illness, abuse, or neglect through our charity partners St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, Make-A-Wish® America, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the National CASA Association.  JFC also provides support to the Make-A-Wish® International and the Santa-America Fund.  This nationwide success is due to the continuing generosity of jewelry trade organizations, jewelry and watch manufacturing companies, jewelry retail stores, individual jewelry professionals, and jewelry consumers.
