As of this writing, Thanksgiving weekend 2011 has come to an end and Christmas and Hanukkah will be here before we know it. One of my best former employees, James Lewis Gresham II (Jim) tied the knot last evening with his lovely bride Julia in Chesapeake, VA, and my son Zack and I had the privilege of attending the wedding. Just wanted to take the time here to congratulate Jim & Julia a lifetime of love and happiness – they are two special people and how very blessed they are to have found one another! I am so thankful for the years Jim spent with R.M. Johnson & Sons Jewelers while he was in high school, college and grad school. He is already missed but we are so happy he has also found a successful career as well as a lovely bride!
Other blessings this year include Zack coming to work in the store and wanting to learn more about the family business. This was something I always hoped at least one of my sons would pursue…perhaps I will be able to retire one day (or at least take more time to travel)! I am also thankful for Tina, Valerie, Emily and Diana for being so dedicated and helpful to our customers this year. We are so fortunate to have you, and Diana – we miss you and wish you all the best as you pursue your careers in both nursing and modeling!
Certainly not last and not least – thanks to all who allowed us the privilege of working with you this year. We are honored to help you, whether it’s repairing a favorite piece of jewelry or helping you choose the perfect fine jewelry gift or beautiful diamond engagement ring for someone special in your life. The fact that you chose to trust us with those important items, celebrations and once-in-a lifetime moments in your world is the highest of honors and we are so proud to be of service to you. Our customers know the value a gift of jewelry continues to have and are very wise to choose something as meaningful and lasting. We will continue to be there to help guide you through that process, to teach you all you wish to know about gold, platinum, diamonds, and gemstones and to make informed decisions when buying jewelry.
